What to expect?
Proms in the Park is a free annual event put on my the Maidstone Borough Council. We welcome members to join us for a picnic (please bring your own food and drinks) then sit and enjoy a summer afternoon of classical music. Please bring your own blanket or chair so that you can be comfortable and make sure you book so that Linda knows how much room to reserve for members and guests to be able to socialise.
The weather on Saturday is due to be beautiful and hot so please ensure you have plenty to drink and a hat or shade. The picnics are now from 3pm but the concert does not start until 7.30pm so I think we should get there for 5.30pm so that we can find a good spot to settle, giving us a good view of the entertainment. It is probably best to meet in the car park outside Fitness First, at the entrance to the park so that no one gets lost however I will have my mobile with me in case any of you wish to join us later.
Please let me know if you will meeting me at the entrance at 5.30pm or if you would rather meet me in the park.
bring your own food and drinks
Make sure you park safely. There is not much parking near the venue so you will have to walk.
